Collection: Smalti & Stone Collection - Mosaic

This collection is a playful re-exploration of smalti cutting and mosaic placement techniques, inspired by ideas of wall building, surface, structure, sun, and the creation of tesserae from 'other' materials. Combining Italian smalti, handmade polymer clay tesserae, stained glass, natural stone, and 21 karat gold smalti, these small works embrace texture, rhythm, and instinctive composition.

Rather than focusing on creating a definitive image, the collection became a joyful exploration of fitting shapes, colours, and materials together through intuition and response — allowing the process of placement itself to guide each piece. Individually framed and ready to hang, the mosaics are mounted within richly textured decorative surfaces that enhance their tactile and contemporary character.
