About Blue Cube Arts

Blue Cube Arts is a creative studio based in Portaferry, County Down, offering mosaic workshops, jewellery-making experiences, community arts projects and creative programmes that bring people together through artistic practice and shared experiences.

Founded and run by artists Geraldine Cooper and Davy Holden, Blue Cube Arts creates opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to engage with creativity, develop new skills and explore their own creative potential within a welcoming and supportive environment.

From studio-based workshops and immersive creative experiences to large-scale community projects and cultural events, Blue Cube Arts works with individuals, schools, museums, heritage organisations and community groups to deliver engaging and meaningful creative opportunities.

Our workshops provide a relaxed and inspiring setting in which participants can develop confidence, explore materials and techniques, and create original work at their own pace. Whether attending for personal enjoyment, creative development or social connection, participants are encouraged to discover and develop their own creative voice.

Inspired by the landscapes, coastline and cultural heritage of the Ards Peninsula and County Down, many of our projects explore connections between place, environment and contemporary creative practice.

Drawing on their experience as practising artists, Geraldine and Davy combine artistic expertise, community engagement and a passion for creative learning to deliver high-quality workshops, events and projects that encourage participation, curiosity and connection.

At Blue Cube Arts, creativity is viewed not only as a means of artistic expression, but as a way to explore ideas, build confidence, foster wellbeing and enrich everyday life.
